The British hacker is convicted of privacy violations of hundreds of women.

60-year-old Christopher Taylor, who has three children and a sick wife whom he looked after, lived in an ordinary family from Wigan, Greater Manchester County, UK. However, he had an unusual hobby - to spy on other people. Since 2010, he has been hacking devices around the world, attracting victims by posting fake links on porn sites that allowed him to gain full access to laptop functions, including a webcam.

With the help of malware, he entered the victim's computers while they ate, studied and was engaged in yoga. He followed women when they changed their clothes or had sex, hitting a webcam lens. The court found out that after breaking devices, Taylor recorded dozens of his unsuspecting victims for his own "sexual satisfaction". From 2010 to 2016, he collected 80,000 images and videos. The officers also discovered a video of bestiality, including one that depicts a woman having sex with a dog.

The investigation revealed that Taylor also deleted thousands of files before his arrest. US law enforcement asked him to be extradited to the United States for trial of fraud and computer crime, but their request was rejected after a London court decided, that this will negatively affect the health status of his sick wife. Police charged him at the end of last year, almost seven years after the start of the investigation.

Neil Freiman, the prosecutor, said in court: "Many of these images and videos captured people who eat, work, lie in bed and do yoga. However, some images also show people at various stages of undressing and having sex".

Freiman said that Taylor was caught after one of the victims, a student at the Georgia Institute of Technology, accidentally downloaded malware to her laptop in the college’s aerospace lab. Malicious software was spotted by complex college spyware detection systems, and information was sent to the FBI. As a result of the investigation, a search of the house of Taylor was conducted in February 2016.

Taylor was quickly tracked down and searched his house. On his computer, photographs and videos of naked victims were stored, as well as acts of bestiality. This served as the basis for the arrest. As a result, Taylor was sentenced to one year and two months in prison.
